Preparing For Installation

Preparing a lining paper installation in order to have the best finish possible is vital. Using local experienced Essex decorators is key to a perfect job done right.

We prepare the surface by removing all loose plaster and filling any holes or cracks. The walls are then sanded, taking away loose paint or debris, making the filler level.

The wall is ‘sized’ by applying a diluted wallpaper paste. This stops filler and plaster from soaking up water from the pasted lining paper. preserving its adhesive properties is an important step.

 

Hanging A Lining Paper Installation
